Our Story

Luna originated from pastry chef Bridget Thibeault of Flour Girl and has since grown beyond what she ever could have imagined.


Our doors opened in June 2011 in the Cedar Fairmount District in Cleveland Heights, a neighborhood rich with history, creatives, and a thriving small-business community of restaurants and shops. The small corner space in a historic building was perfect for a cozy European-style pastry shop & café with local influences.  

 Luna built their reputation on providing quality food and pastry always made in-house from scratch, using the best, fresh ingredients. This philosophy has never wavered, driving everything they do today. The neighborhood embraced Luna quickly and by early 2016, Luna had already completed two expansions, adding 40 more seats while still keeping the same relaxed and chic atmosphere.

In June of 2018, Luna opened their 2nd location in Moreland Hills, which reflects the same amazing service, delicious pastries, and coffee. In ­­2021, Luna moved their Cake Shop and production facility to Midtown where gorgeous special order cakes, creative, hand-decorated sugar cookies, the variety of croissants you see baked fresh in our cafes every morning, and our delicate French macaron.  All items are made from scratch on a large scale in a big, bright space, and then delivered to each location.

As of August 2023, Luna opened their 3rd location in Downtown Cleveland. 

Luna is a proud member of Cleveland Independents, an organization of over 80 locally-owned and operated restaurants that share a commitment to the community and a passion for excellence in food and service.
